Lauded by Black Enterprise magazine as a “Young Marketing Genius”, Roy Broderick Jr. is the Founder and CEO of the Authentique Agency. In 2016, Roy launched the firm as a blend of two of his passions: positioning LGBTQ and Multicultural audiences as an integral component of a brand’s marketing strategy, and curating go-to-market plans that create authentic connection to both audiences. Roy is proud to work with brands like AT&T, Instagram, and The Dallas Mavericks, and to have been designated as the Agency of Record for the National Museum of African American Music. Since launching Authentique, Roy travels the country sharing thought leadership on avoiding tone-deaf multicultural marketing and the business impact awaiting brands that choose to align with the spending power of this emerging audience. In his spare time, he serves as the Immediate Past President of the Association of Black Alumni for the University of Florida, an ambassador for OUT Georgia Business Alliance, VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Atlanta Chapter of the AMA, and a board member for Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company.
Eshena Roman is an award winning professional skilled in branding, strategy, media planning and production. She brings over 15 years of experience to her role as Executive Vice President of Marketing and partner at the Authentique Agency and is an expert in delivering insight-driven and culturally relevant plans to Authentique’s clients. Specializing in 360-degree strategies with multiple channel extensions, she is dedicated to successfully building campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. Her client work includes Instagram, AT&T, the National Museum of African American Music, the Dallas Mavericks, State Farm, Ford, and media mogul Steve Harvey. She is passionate about making a positive impact and giving voice to the marginalized African American and LGBTQ+ communities, serving as a board member for the Center for Black Women’s Wellness, and volunteering with the Atlanta Mission and Operation HOPE. Inspired by the arts, she is also a mentor for the New Museum in New York, NY, offering consult to emerging artists on how to maximize visibility. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her six-year-old son.
An award -winning seasoned brand leader and marketing executive with over 15 years of experience in sports, entertainment, and multicultural marketing. Jelanii has led the strategies for Fortune 500 brands including Cricket Wireless, Jack Daniels, and Sara Lee as well as been at the helm of national advertising and experiential campaigns at some of the country’s most notable events including The GRAMMY Awards, Superbowl LIII, ESSENCE Music Festival, BET Awards, CIAA Tournament, KAABOO Del Mar Music Festival, and many more. Her keen awareness and insights into important cultural segments have elevated clients’ activation strategies and driven them to impact key audiences and consumers. Jelanii has also led cross-functional teams on sports marketing, community, and promotional campaigns for clients like Coca-Cola, Sara Lee, Choice Hotels, and the NFL. Her passion for the multicultural audience, sports and entertainment fields and award-winning campaigns show through her leadership at the agency.
Korry Richards is a creative director and designer. Since 2009, Korry has worked with companies such as Kids II, Pentair, Home Depot, Flextronics and Macys, and most recently as the creative designer at eVestment. He is also the co-owner of a post-production company, Studio Approach. He graduated from North Carolina State University College of Design and specializes in Branding & Identity, Ideation, Concept Development and Art Direction.
Rhonda is a multi-faceted marketing creative with a history exciting and rewarding opportunities in entertainment, music, and media. Rhonda managed media mogul Tom Joyner’s business and personal affairs while building a parallel music career and serving as managing editor for SoulTrain.com. Rhonda is also an accomplished social media and content strategist. She has led social media strategy development and execution for properties in the MGM Resorts brand portfolio as well as a diverse roster of clients across CPG, beauty/lifestyle, and health and wellness industries including the National Museum of African American Music, Rice-A-Roni and many others.
Stanzel Jackson is an Experiential Planning and media management professional with over 14 years of experience working in television, radio, and live entertainment production. His ingenuity and skilled ability in creative strategy management and execution has placed him in partnership amongst companies including Sony Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, Viacom, Marvel Entertainment, CBS radio, and Radio One.
Ashley M. Clark is an accomplished sponsorship marketing and events professional with over 15 year’s experience working across sports, entertainment and lifestyle properties. She has led sponsorship strategy and activation for brands such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, AT&T, The Home Depot, Equifax, and Cricket Wireless. Known for her attention to detail and project management skills, Ashley feels immense satisfaction seeing a project or event come to fruition.
Porsha is an Experiential and Talent Management professional with over 11 years of experience within the event space. She has worked with clients including Porsche Cars, Delta Airlines, The Home Depot & Coca Cola. Her skills in creative and execution strategy along with her dedicated work style has allowed her to land top level clients in various industries while delivering the highest level of client satisfaction.
Marisa King is an award-winning marketing strategist. With over 15 years of experience in building brand equity, Marisa’s clients have included everyone from corporate executives to athletes to authors, politicians, non-profit organizations, entertainers and consumer brands. Marisa prides herself with the ability to connect the dots and exceed expectations. She is a skilled marketer with expertise in brand development and strategy, experiential marketing and brand management.
